I do not say this to brag I feel extremely blessed that he was allowed such an amazing opportunity, and I am compelled to share this gift with others. He graduated valedictorian within three years graduating with 30+ college credits through the classes he was able to attend at the LoneStar college on campus. This letter has been a long time in the making because of my desire to adequately put into words how wonderful the staff was and how well the curriculum design allowed my son to excel. We have since moved back to the US, but he took an entrance exam for the #1 high school in California, ranked nationally 25 and he got accepted! I truly believe he did well and was prepared because of all the work he did at BHS with essay writing and math.My son graduated from Ischool High - University Park last May. The support we received from Amanda, one of the teachers, was incredible, she would send personal messages checking on our son and making sure if he needed anything, as he was applying to high schools in the US.

My son became a complete independent learner, it was amazing to see him take full responsibility for his learning, which is how college will be, so he's getting great practice already. Akida's first conversation with my son was to ask him where he wanted to go to college and truly the whole school year was setup for him to stay motivated and do exceptionally well so he can achieve that goal.They are all about learning not just teaching to a test. My son was in 9th grade at BHS while we lived in Spain, and while we chose the online option, and it was his first year doing online school, I would choose it again! Students receive an official American High School Diploma from USA when they complete 12th grade, which allows them to attend English speaking international universities throughout the world, including in Spain, the UK and throughout Europe, as well as in USA or Canada, through the BHS university placement program.Īlso, many student athletes choose Barcelona High School due to its flexible school hours and to help them obtain athletic scholarships to universities in the US.
